Am reading the graveyard book

I can't believe that i have a copy in my hands and am reading it now.

The Graveyard Book
(Hardcover) by Neil Gaiman (Author), Chris Riddell (Illustrator) is not released yet in both US and UK.

And i am reading it already.

It was the last copy at Kino.. i was sososos surprised that it is for sale already.. and i got it.

I was reading the first chapter while sitting at Marina Bay waiting for the F1 to start... and i'm hooked. It's brilliant!

Love love the illustrations by Chris Riddell

Weddings, Anniversaries, Engagements and Birthdays

Hrrmpp.. seems that September is such a happening month.

I had a few close friends having birthdays, weddings and my parent's 40th wedding anniversary was last weekend.

Quite an achievement. Don't know if i'd ever reach a 40th wedding anniversary!! I'm still keeping my fingers crossed.

And it was a real pity that i had to miss a wedding in London and KL. But i may get to attend a wedding in June in France. How cool is that? i am so looking forward to it.

And speaking of the bride-to-be's engagement ring... the dutch mentioned that instead of a diamond ring... if he does ever offer.. he'd give a coke pull tab.. plus a lifetime supply of coca cola.

You think that'd be a good deal?

He made me laugh though..

It's a record!

3 days in a row, i went to Big D's Grill... and inhaled what i ordered

So did A and CK... and it was funny.. cos they kept nodding their heads while eating the fish and chips and the crabmeat linguine. The best part, they are heading there again tonight to try Big D's steak. I want to go too!!!

And here's the man himself, Damian D'Silva.

Hot and Cold

It was perfect.. and a couple of us saw turtles too.. though i didn't see. I saw the dm signaling but i was too high up as i couldn't equalise.. hence, missed it.

This was H diving last year in Nigaloo Reef with a turtle. His friend took this very beautiful picture.

Oh.. and i got a new coat. Funny story about the coat. We were window shopping and we saw a DKNY winter coat which H said that i'd need. And when i checked out the price, it was cheap for a coat. H was like.. you want it? it's cheap.. So i tried two different sizes... and i went.. let's look around as i had wanted to get a north face coat. So, we went to look around.. and we saw this very same coat in another store and it was $200 more expensive!!!!

So, h and i were like.. Did they price it wrongly??? if they did.. or didn't, that coat is a bargain!! We literally ran back to the first store to try the coat again and really consider getting it.

When we went back to the first store and took the coat to try... we discovered that it was at the more expensive price.. the cheaper price both of us had seen mistakenly was the price of the dress that was hanging inside the coat.

So.. now, i have to wear the coat for 3 years instead of 2.
